Bauble Hunt Success!

Hello everyone, and a Happy New Year!

A quick update on the recent success of the Greenfield Bauble Hunt!

The Bauble Hunt made £564 profit, which means we sold 282 maps in total. Aside from the money, the best thing about the hunt was seeing the families taking part and the excited children getting out and about, despite the cold weather, and enjoying the fresh air!

It was also a great benefit to local businesses selling the maps, and the Saddleworth Independent are also doing a further write up and ‘watch this space’ for the next themed trail.

Thank you to everyone who supported the event, not only from Greenfield school, but from all others around the local area! Watch this space for the next trail which we are already planning: The Great Greenfield Easter Egg Hunt!

Updates

Hello all, there is some very encouraging news regarding the new Trim Trail for the school. Over the last 18 months, there have been a number of barriers towards the progress of installing the Trim Trail. Initially, to comply with the new school warrantee requirements, and then in 2020 in the form of a global pandemic. At the start of the current academic year, the PTA agreed with Mr. Wood to pass the ownership of the implementation back to the school. The design for the Trim Trail is now reaching the final stages of being a finished product, and the target is for it to be in place by Spring 2021. There are some caveats with this date, the obvious one being any unforeseen implications from COVID-19, but this is what is hoped for currently.

In the meantime, there are other fund-raising activities to organise for this term and also planning already for the next term. These are to be used for either additional play equipment or should restrictions start to ease, the possibility of arranging additional extra-curricular activities for the children in school. Therefore, please look out for information coming your way on the following;

This Term

  • Christmas film day in the school
  • Virtual Father Christmas message for the infants
  • Christmas Raffle with a chance to win a number of hampers
  • The Great Greenfield Village Bauble Hunt
  • Crowd-funding page

Next Term

  • Charity Walk for Families
  • Online Chocolate Bingo

    Thank you x

Easy Fundraising!

Hi all, we have set up a Greenfield Primary School Easyfundraising page. This was first established almost 10 years ago by the then PTA and it has remained dormant for sometime. However, in the current world of COVID-19, it is a way of continuing to virtually raise funds for the PTA whilst remaining compliant with all government guidelines. Normal PTA events (like the Spooky Disco) are not currently possible with these in mind. Please help continue to support the PTA fund-raising effort, thank you very much on behalf of the PTA. 🙂

You can access the website here.

SPOOKY DAY!

Hello all!
It’s that time of year again, the leaves are falling off the trees, and there are pumpkins everywhere! As a treat for the children (and let’s face it – the teachers), we will be having a ‘spooky day’ on the last day of term: Friday 23rd October. Here are all the spooky details:

Clothes Recycling Scheme

Hello everyone!
Here are the details of Greenfield Primary PTA’s clothes recycling scheme – it’s a win-win situation: donate your old clothes, and this will not only raise money for our school, but the clothes you donate will be sent to others in need around the world. 🙂

Send donations in bin bags on either:
Monday 19th, Tuesday 20th or Wednesday 21st October.
Alex, our Site Manager, will be on hand at the school front gate to receive donations.

Here is a clear guide what you can and cannot donate:
