PTA Update

During the last month, Jane Stark has stepped down from her role as the Greenfield Primary PTA Chairperson.

Jane has served in this role for almost three years and has contributed a huge amount of time to the PTA, but due to a new business venture, she no longer has the time available to continue in this role. On behalf of the school population, the PTA would like to thank Jane for all of the time and effort she has put into the PTA and wishes success to her new company.

In the absence of any nominations for a new Chairperson from inside or outside of the PTA, the PTA will continue to operate with the existing five Trustees sharing the workload between them. This is in line with both the Charity Commission guidance and also the PTA constitution, and so it remains above board. It is hoped that in the new school year, there will be some new candidates who can put forward some of their time into the running and organising of the PTA.

There seems to be hopeful news on the Trim Trail; Mr Wood approached the PTA only this week to double check the funds promised for school (in the region of £15,000) were still available – which of course they are! The school has now passed some process obligations for seeking comparative quotes, and will be placing an order for the Trim Trail shortly. At present, the PTA are not sure of the time scales for the implementation of this, but it is showing signs of progress.

Clothes Recycling

Thanks to everyone for your donations for the recent clothes recycling scheme, we raised £87.15. Future collections have been provisionally arranged for 17th–19th May and 28th–30th June.

***Hi all, apologies for the inconvenience but unfortunately the clothes collection planned for this week was cancelled at short notice by our usual provider. We are in the process of agreeing a new collection date with school and will update on here when we know more***

Family Chocolate BINGO night

Bingo cards are £1 each (you can buy as many as you like for each person playing) and will be on sale at the main school gates before and after school from Thursday 22nd April to Friday 30th April.

Instructions how to join on Zoom will also be provided.

Any chocolate donations for prizes will also be welcome at the desk selling the bingo cards.

Thank you – get your dabbers at the ready!

Easter Thank You!

A big thank you to everyone who bought maps and activity packs for the Easter Egg hunt, we really appreciate you all contributing to the school PTA funds. Overall we sold approximately 90 activity packs and 158 maps, raising a total of £623.78! This will go into the pot which will go towards goodies and fun things for all the children.

Watch this space for the next fun event planned!
