Ice creams all round!

Hello one and all! A quickie reminder of a nice treat for all the children as an end of term treat:
there will be an ice cream van in the school on Thursday 16th July, so that all the children can have some much deserved treats!

The ice cream van will be parking in the school playground at 2.45pm on Thursday. Thank you to everyone who organised this. 🙂

***Also please remember to keep the social distance in the queue at 1m, thank you.***

National Thank A Teacher Day

Hello everyone, we really hope you are all safe and well, and that hopefully we will all be back in school soon! As May 20th is National Thank A Teacher Day, we thought we would share the link to the official page, and hopefully everyone can show our wonderful teachers some love. We think it’s a wonderful thing to do, and you can send an e-card designed by award-winning illustrator Axel Scheffler!

Upcoming Events

Hello all,
A quick message regarding all upcoming PTA events. Due to the on-going situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19); all our upcoming PTA events will be suspended until further notice. When the government let us know that is is OK to gather in large groups again, then we will start to arrange events again.

Lastly, we would like to stay thank you to all the teachers and staff at school, who have been calm and organised through all this unrest, and helped us all through this difficult time.

Stay safe everyone.

Trim Trail Update

A quick update on our trim trail:

The PTA has been working with the school governors and Oldham Council to install the trim trail, but because the building has not yet been formally handed over to the school due to various snags, nothing can be installed within its grounds until September 2020.

The PTA, governors and the Council have agreed to meet at the school over the Easter break to agree and mark out the location of the trim trail. The PTA can then finalise the design so that we are ready to go in September. Installation should only take a few weeks and so there should be a brand new trim trail ready for action not long after the start of the new school year 2020!

Cragrunners Event Success!

A massive well done for the epic trek undertook by PTA members Jenny, Clare, Liz and James …. who ended up trekking 27 miles (!) to raise money for Greenfield Primary School. The amount keeps rising and is currently at £794, cheers to these amazing people, and to everyone who have kindly donated money!

Cragrunners Event Fundraiser.

Hello all 🙂
On Saturday 7th March 2020, four of us are taking part in the Cragrunners Saddleworth Ten Res’s event.

We are walking 24 miles around the Saddleworth moors to raise funds for Greenfield Primary School. Amongst other items, the PTA would love to help fund a new trim trail for Greenfield Primary School and the children.

Any donations and support would be greatly appreciated, please click here for our Just Giving page or on the image above.
Thank you so much everyone! 😊

Coffee Morning success!

Last Friday, we raised an amazing £91 by hosting a coffee morning in the school hall. This is the first time this has been done in the new school, and we hope to make it a termly event, with the next one being aimed for Friday 6th March starting from 9.15am.

Everyone is welcome, and this is as much a chance to speak to people you might see on a daily basis for longer than two seconds, as it is for raising a few extra pounds for activities or items for the benefit of the school’s children. There will be bacon butties and a selection of cakes and pastries to go with tea, coffee or juice for any children not currently at school. We hope to see you at the next one!
