PTA Update

During the last month, Jane Stark has stepped down from her role as the Greenfield Primary PTA Chairperson.

Jane has served in this role for almost three years and has contributed a huge amount of time to the PTA, but due to a new business venture, she no longer has the time available to continue in this role. On behalf of the school population, the PTA would like to thank Jane for all of the time and effort she has put into the PTA and wishes success to her new company.

In the absence of any nominations for a new Chairperson from inside or outside of the PTA, the PTA will continue to operate with the existing five Trustees sharing the workload between them. This is in line with both the Charity Commission guidance and also the PTA constitution, and so it remains above board. It is hoped that in the new school year, there will be some new candidates who can put forward some of their time into the running and organising of the PTA.

There seems to be hopeful news on the Trim Trail; Mr Wood approached the PTA only this week to double check the funds promised for school (in the region of £15,000) were still available – which of course they are! The school has now passed some process obligations for seeking comparative quotes, and will be placing an order for the Trim Trail shortly. At present, the PTA are not sure of the time scales for the implementation of this, but it is showing signs of progress.
